"Powerless" may have revealed a small hint on who could be coming to the first comedy series done by DC. Such Easter eggs cannot be taken too lightly, especially with such a diverse characters to look out for.
New photos released for the new DC franchise hinted one of the supposed high-caliber heroes to soon enter the series, namely Batman. As seen in one of the latest pictures from The Wrap, lead character Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) holds close to her a flier that pertains to a particular karaoke event. Within it is the text "Kane and Fingers Pub," which is where the event will take place. However, more than that, it serves tribute to the makers of Batman. These are Bob Kane and Bill Finger.
The "Powerless" stills also show the facility where Locke stays for work, namely Wayne Security. This is a subsidy of Wayne Enterprises, owned by none other than Bruce Wayne or Batman himself. Some of the said characters reported to be included in the series are Jack O' Lantern and Wonder Woman, whose roles are yet to be detailed.
As per Comic Book, "Powerless" showcases how the spotlight also shines across the people who deal with the aftermath or the collateral damage done by the world's superheroes and villains. Locke works as director of research and development for Wayne Security, a company that makes products to ensure civilian safety. Along the way, her ideas prove most beneficial to the many perilous situations and it is up to her to commandeer the team towards success, even without superpowers.
"Powerless" is slated to release on February 2, 2017 on NBC. It also stars Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk, Christina Kirk and Ron Funches.
