The "Dark Souls" series may have something further to offer as 2017 starts fruitfully, as the development team behind it teases. One in particular is having the fourth installment of "Dark Souls" sometime soon.
After the recent launch in March of 2016, "Dark Souls 3" apparently made it as one of the most admired titles that From Software has to offer. It has now been affirmed that From Software is working on over three games; some of which said to be rather odd and distant from their counterparts.
According to a report by Express, an interesting statement made by From Software says how one of their alleged projects could come out within the year, as justified by the producers of "Bloodborne," Teruyuki Toriyama and Masaaki Yamagiwa. Although such hints may prove beneficial to fans, it is quite a long shot to call for a new "Dark Souls" game to come this year-but the likes of "Demon's Souls" having a continuity is somewhat possible.
Another one being banked on is "Bloodborne," having launched approximately 2 years ago. Such may validate the game to finally have a continuity in the form of "Bloodborne 2," but is still yet to be named.
In the same manner, it was said that From Software will be making other games that adapt the same game style as that of "Dark Souls," but with a few undisclosed distinctions. Engadget reported that a translated message from Bandai Namco declares that the company is investing on an AI startup for their games, one that could come before any "Dark Souls" follow-up.
"Dark Souls 3" was not deprived of more content as the "Ashes of Ariandel" DLC was bestowed upon the game. Comparatively, it was set alongside the "Painted World of Ariamis" DLC for the "Dark Souls" predecessor. It is now confirmed that "Ashes of Ariandel" will have another content to follow it up, but no news has been released yet for the second pack.
