LG announced that it will unveil its latest Bluetooth speaker in the upcoming CES in January 2017. This speaker is called the LG PJ9 which floats in mid-air and at the same time, will work under water.

In a report by Android Authority, the LG PJ9 has a simple egg-shaped design and will be available in white color. The base station has a built-in electromagnet that makes the speaker float in mid-air without any support. It certainly is a remarkable device to look at during parties and events at your home. It may also serve as an interesting conversation piece.

According to the report, the futuristic looking speaker has an IPX7 rating, which means it will work under water of up to one meter for up to 30 minutes. The device offers a 360-degree sound therefore it will be heard in all directions. LG PJ9 speakers also have two passive radiators that give you balanced bass and mid-range sound output, the base station is also its woofer.

Fully charged, the speakers will play your music for up to 10 hours non-stop. Additionally, according to a report by slashgear, the device knows when it's low on battery, in which it will slowly descend and land on its base. It will then trigger its wireless charging. With its base as its charger, it can provide uninterrupted playback.

LG has not yet announced the price range of its PJ9 Speaker and its availability in the market. Perhaps more details will be revealed at the CES 2017 in Las Vegas, which is next week.
