Nearly after a year on Apple's iPad, Algoriddim is set to bring its popular DJ software dubbed as djay Pro to the iPhone, with a version specifically developed for the recently launched iPhone 7.
The new app exploits Apple's Taptic Engine in order to bring music for users while they're mixing. Aside from that, djay Pro allows users to mix up to four decks with live video mixing features included from the iPhone.
The professional version of djay, with a four-track support, debuted on the Mac a couple of years ago. It was also featured during the MacBook Pro's Touch Bar demo before it arrived on the iPad with Split View in 2015. Now, completing the suite, the latest version of djay is up for grabs as a dedicated app for Apple Watch and the iPhone.
Algoriddim chief executive Karim Morsy noted that djay Pro has been well-received by both Mac and iPad users. The iPhone 7 has enabled the company to radically transform the user experience of djay Pro by employing 3D Touch and haptic feedback, Morsy added.
Aside from Taptic Feedback integration, video features, and four-deck support, djay Pro integrates with Spotify --- giving users access to numerous tracks in a jiffy. Moreover, the Spotify integration in djay includes the user's current playlists, saved songs, charts, starred, and browse with match for intelligent song recommendations and powerful search capabilities, according to a blog post on Algoriddim's official website.
The djay Pro app's interface is quite dynamic as well, offering both portrait and landscape support with an array of customization options. That being said, djay Pro is exclusively designed for those who intend to use the app to DJ at parties and clubs and need the ability to queue up more tracks and visuals. The app also allows users to add more cue points on each track as compared to djay 2, according to The Verge.
djay Pro is currently available for $4.99 and this price is expected to remain unchanged for at least two weeks before it rises to $9.99.
