American pop singer Richard Marx was on headlines the past few days. It's not because of a new song or a concert, but more on a heroic deed he has done. Marx was on a Korean Air flight from Hanoi to Seoul with his wife, TV host Daisy Fuentes when the incident happened.

Apparently, Marx and Fuentes were flying between the two capitals when a man next to them begun attacking the crew of the flight and even other passengers. According to Standard, it went on for four hours as the crew and even Marx helped restrain the said passenger.

Fuentes took photos of the incident. Marx was with other crew members as they tried to keep the man tied. On the photos posted by Fuentes on Facebook, Richard Marx was holding a rope to help control the man.

Richard Marx was the first one to help the Korean Air crew as posted by his wife on Instagram. According to her, the cabin crew were not fully prepared with the violence and so "they never fully got control of him." She also claimed that they had taser guns but did not know how to use them. The man also got out of the rope three times.

After posting photos and the story, fans and netizens alike praised the actor for what he had done. Nonetheless, Richard Marx said that he was no "big hero" after the incident. He said that he just did what he hoped anyone would also do.

WCVB reported that a reported that a spokesperson for Korean Air has confirmed that the photos were indeed taken during their Hanoi-Seoul flight. Cho Hyun Mook also said that the matter was being investigated. The man was turned over to Incheon Police after arrival at Incheon airport.

Based on reports, the man was apparently a 34-year old South Korean man. He was allegedly drunk after drinking hard liquor during the flight.
