The CW's "Supernatural" is currently on its season 12. Over the course of the series, many characters have come and gone, but a few really had stayed. One of them is the beloved angel, Castiel (Misha Collins).

"Supernatural" will be back on TV on Jan. 26, 2017 on its new 8 P.M. timeslot. According to TVLine, executive producer Andrew Dabb revealed that the second half of "Supernatural" season 12 will contain more angelic action. Specifically, there will be three long episodes that will tackle Castiel's history.

It has been reported before that a new character by the name of Lily Sunder, played by "The Walking Dead" alum Alicia Witt will appear on the show. This Lily Sunder is an old enemy of the angel. During the episodes promised by Dabb, fans will know and understand where Sunder came from. Hopefully, fans also get to see more about Castiel.

International Business Times also reported that episode 19 of "Supernatural" will focus on Cas, but on a different way.

Sure enough, fans have been waiting for more Castiel and Crowley (Mark Sheppard), As the angel and the demon teams up to defeat Lucifer on his new vessel (Rick Springfield). The second half will cover more of them.

Dabb has explained that the first half was more dedicated to introducing the new major characters. This focused on Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith) to the British Men of Letters and Lucifer's new vessel.

"I think we did a fairly good job of keeping Crowley alive [and] keeping Castiel alive, but the new characters certainly ate up a little space," executive producer Dabb admitted. "We had to cram a lot into those [eight episodes]."

However, this is about to change come the second half of the beloved show.

As of now, the stars of the show Jared Padalecki who plays Sam, Jensen Ackles who plays Dean and Misha Collins are busy with their Love Campaign.
