Finnish game developer and publisher Supercell is set to release a holiday-themed update for their "Clash of Clans" game, a highly popular multiplayer free-to-play mobile game --- just in time for Christmas. The last update they've had and the biggest one yes was the Halloween update, which includes Halloween-themed items and changes to other game elements.
Clash of Clans is a strategy mobile game that allows players to build their own villages into fortresses and prevent invading armies by establish their own army of dragons, barbarians, warriors, archers, and hog riders. They can also join forces with others to defeat rival teams and eventually, become the ultimate clan.
Players will indeed be getting a huge update this month, including a lot of new content. New game modes and some additional troops are also likely to be included with this update. The additional troops are rumored to be taken directly from the game's spin-off, "Clash Royale", dubbed as the Lumberjack and the Ice Wizard. Since the new update will be winter-themed, it comes as no surprise from game develepors to add ice-themed characters, according to HEADLINES & GLOBAL NEWS.
Hopefully, this new update would be well-received as compared to the previous year's winter update. Last year's winter update had disapointing features and a severely stunted loot collection system of the Town Hall 11 update. Thus, Supercell was bounded to release new patches to solve those issues months after, iDigitalTimes reported.
Sneak peeks could begin over the next few hours and days based on the general community's consensus. But while a lot of fans are getting more excited for the new update, Supercell did not disclose anything much about it --- except that it will be released around Christmas. Other reports even claim that the new Clash of Clans update will be released between Dec. 19 and Dec. 23.
