There has been a huge amount of hype floating around these upcoming Apple tablets, and here's what we know so far.

iPad Air 3

Recent rumors state that the iPad 3 will make its appearance in March 2017, but will be the final tablet in the Air brand. One of the possible reasons of discontinuation is to avoid confusion from the customers, as differences between the iPad Air and the iPad Pro lineup are getting smaller and less noticeable.

Similar to the iPad Pro, the iPad Air 3 is also speculated to have a Smart Connector, enabling users to connect a Smart Keyboard connector. Other rumored features include Apple Pencil support, a 10.9-inch version between the existing 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch models, 7000-series aluminum body, more color options and a much-thinner design than the current-generation iPad Air 2.

iPad Mini 5

The current-generation iPad Mini 4 is now more than 14 months old, and users are slowly getting impatient hoping for a refresh of the iPad's little brother. Fortunately, avid followers of the machine may not have to wait much longer as the new device is speculated to be announced in March 2017.

The iPad Mini 5 is rumored to have a 7.9-inch Retina display with 7000-series aluminum chassis, as well as an Apple A9 or A10 chip. Users are also anticipating a 3GB RAM upgrade for snappier multi-tasking.

Other extra features that may be included are a dual-lens camera, 3D Touch technology, 8-megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front camera, and 32, 64 and 128 GB storage configurations.

iPad Pro 2

Despite no official confirmation or any new details about the iPad Pro 2, a lot of speculations suggest that Apple may introduce the next-generation line of iPad Pro devices in March 2017, simultaneous with the 5th-generation iPad Mini and the iPad Air 3.

The device, primary marketed to mobile professionals and hardcore users, is expected to come with the faster A10X Processor, higher amounts of RAM from its current-generation 2 or 4 GB models, and up to 512 GB storage space. Users are also hoping for a longer battery life and less issues with unexpected battery drains.

A new 10.5-inch model, targeted to business and education sectors, and the removal of the home button, is also one of the rumored changes on the next-generation iPad Pro 2.

In conclusion, Apple may be introducing all of these three new devices on its upcoming Apple event sometime in March. All of the information is still based from speculations, however, so users are advised to take these with a grain of salt.
