The upcoming OnePlus 4 looks prone to hold the headphone jack, according to a tweet conveyed by the co-founder of the company, Carl Pei.
Pei posted on Tuesday evening asking fans and users vote on whether they like headphone jacks or not.
So far there has been typically uneven criticism with 86 for percent of the 1,500 voters reacting in the agreed.
Given that the OnePlus 4 is due next summer, it seems like a great move from the co-founder to organize a vote on the Twitter platform. The number of votes, and the percentage those who agreed to keeping headphone jacks may make fans happy. Many users were wondering about this possiblity after Apple started the trend with its iPhone 7 Plus.
Pei is probably going to swim against a tide of makers who're sacrificing the extremely old equipment segment.
Apple's iPhone 7 is apparently the most acclaimed gadget to constrain users into the use of a jack, while Motorola and HTC may additionally follow the path soon enough. The OnePlus 4 is the follow up to the OnePlus 3, which was released in June 2016.
We're expecting enhanced display, better or more reliable battery life, and a more powerful processor from the upcoming Oneplus flagship.
Given Samsung's present troubles, the door is open for the OnePlus to make a dent in the market with its upcoming phone.
