Fans are finally getting some closer looks at the live-action "Bleach" film. The first image of Sota Fukushi as the hotheaded teenager Ichigo Kurosaki is widely circulating in the online world.

In early October, the 23-year-old Japanese actor has been spotted filming scenes for the live-action film in Sagami-Ōno Station, Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The photos, which was published on Japan's largest bulletin board 2CH, show Fukushi's Ichigo Kurosaki along with a sword in his hand.

However, unlike the original character seen in Tite Kubo's "Bleach" manga, the live-adaptation film will not feature Ichigo Kurosaki with a conspicuous orange hair.

According to Movie News Guide, the leaked photos sparked criticism from disappointed fans, stating that Ichigo Kurosaki's costume looked shabbier than Cosplay. Others also grumbled about the sword as it reportedly resembled "a huge butter knife than a sword," while some noted it seemed like a cardboard.

While nothing is impossible, it is important to note that there's no official confirmation yet as to whether the leaked photos were indeed for live-action "Bleach" film. Thus, it should be taken lightly.

It came two months after this year's 38th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed that a live-adaptation of "Bleach" manga is a go with director Shinsuke Sato helming the project.

It is said that manga creator Tite Kubo will help with the production as much as he can, so that the live-action film will not only be enjoyable for new fans but will also fulfill long-time ones, as well.

"My only concern is perhaps the hair color," Kotaku quoted Kubo as saying. "If that color is in the live-action movie, it'd be strange, so I wonder what they're going to do!"

"Bleach" live-action film is expected to hit the theaters at some point in 2018.
