The release date of the remastered version of hack-and-slash video game "Darksiders," with the unusual title "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition," may have been delayed to November.

Austria-based company Nordic Games, now rebranded as THQ Nordic, has announced "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" in July this year, according to GameRant.

The remastered version was previously confirmed by the publisher to be out on Oct. 25. However, some retailers, including Amazon and Gamestop, has listed "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" for a Nov. 22 release on PS4, Wii U and Xbox One, according to Gaming Target.

If this is true, then fans would have to extend their wait for another month before they can get their hands on the remastered version of "Darksiders."

The new edition will feature native 1080p rendering, 60 FPS gameplay, and improved graphics. THQ Nordic's business and product development director Reinhard Pollice detailed the changes during an interview with GamingBolt last month.

"So actually the whole backend renderer was replaced.," Pollice said. "We have done a lot of reworks to the shadow quality by increasing the resolution by 4 times and using different methods to make it look better."

"We have also added some nice post processing effects like chromatic aberration, sharpen and FXAA but we know that they are a matter of taste so users can switch them off - even on the console versions," he continued. "Overall we increased all texture resolutions by 4 or at least 2 times."

While fans are happy that THQ Nordic has focused on the remastered versions of the first two "Darksider" titles, most of them are still asking for the much awaited third installment in the franchise.

When asked about this, Pollice said, "It's awesome to have such an amazing franchise that so many people(including myself) are looking forward to."

"We really appreciate our fans' enthusiasm about this IP," he continued, "but at the moment there is nothing to talk about here."

"Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" will be available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U.
