Nintendo's upcoming new console will let players play all the games in different languages without any restriction. A huge leap from the traditional region-locking policies with 3DS and Wii U.

Let's Play Video Games' Laura Dale reported that the upcoming console will be not getting any region-lock and will be able to play any game from any country or language.

According to their sources, the NX development kits are region-free, which indicates that the software development will also not rely on certain region restrictions as well.

According to the same report, no software developers heard about any region lock feature before NX's launch in March 2017.

The report also tackles about the console's alleged dimensions of a thickness of 25 mm when folded, 281 mm width and 92 mm width with the controllers attached, but after a few hours after being posted, an update was provided stating that the sizes are still to be taken as a grain of salt.

"Editor's Note: Since running this report, we have learned that the original source was less reliable than they claimed to be. We are sharing this information because, while the specifics such as dimensions below may no longer be precise, our other sources have agreed with a lot of the information as being accurate when presented to them for corroboration." the editor emphasized in the update.

"These sources have reliably assisted with multiple, correct leaks in the past. The problems with the original source (who has not been involved in any of our other NX leaks) were our fault for moving quickly on the story, and we wish to be transparent about that fact," they added.

While the dimensions are still sketchy, one thing that was accurate was the non-region locking rules for the console as per the source's statement.

Stay tuned while we await for the official specs for the Nintendo NX.
