Ubisoft may be bringing one of its much awaited title, "Beyond Good & Evil 2," to the Nintendo NX.
This rumor came to light as the French publisher openly announced its support for the upcoming console. Not only is the publisher excited for its release, it is also developing a few titles for it.
During this year's E3 conference, Ubisoft has announced that its popular party game "Just Dance 2017" will be coming out for the NX next year. Head of EMEA Alain Corre also said that there are other titles in the works for Nintendo's new machine.
"We announced that we're developing Just Dance for NX and we have other surprises that we will announce later," Corre told Gamesindustry.biz, "but we also believe Nintendo has the power to reinvent the way families are playing."
"Nintendo is a fantastic powerhouse of brands that are really cherished by a lot of fans and families. " Corre continued. "I am still impressed by the reoccurrence of success and appetite even today for the Nintendo franchises on the current system."
Ubisoft has not specifically revealed any titles for the NX apart from "Just Dance 2017," but fans have speculated that the publisher may have plans of bringing the sequel to "Beyond Good & Evil" to the rumored portable console.
There were also rumors that "Beyond Good & Evil 2" is no longer pushing through, given its E3 no-show, which was promptly slammed by Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot.
"It's still on the way," the Ubisoft boss said in a Youtube Live interview at E3, although he also hinted that it might take a while before the game is even released.
Now that the Nintendo NX news is out, fans might finally get a glimpse of the much awaited title next year. However, this is merely speculation and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Here's the reveal trailer for "Beyond Good & Evil 2" released way back in 2008.
