Just a few weeks ago, 343 Industries brought us another "Halo Wars 2" cinematic teaser, showing that the story will pick up from where players left UNSC Spirit of Fire. Cross-play might also be included soon.

In the video above, the cinematic teaser posted by official Halo YouTube channel showed that the story continues and starts out in "Halo Wars 2" as the crew from UNSC Spirit of Fire wakes up from a cryostasis and they are on a planet looming with new threats.

Regarding the multiplayer aspects of the game, Co-Optimus gathered enough information to confirm the game's co-op and stated that the main campaign for single player will also be available for co-op mode on top of the normal "Skirmish Mode."

In other news, YouTube channel Resero had a quick interview with game maker 343 Industries about the games features and it was mentioned that the Cross-Play between Xbox One and Microsoft Windows 10 may be possible in the near future.

The game will be made available for the Xbox One AND Windows 10 as a Play Anywhere title after all and this is after the eight years of wait that the first game launched on the Xbox 360.

Executive Produce Graeme Jennings discussing about how the company takes the fans feedback on several community forums.

Jennings was asked about how the integration of the cross-play feature will impact the fairness of the game given that most of the players of the game using the Xbox One will be relying on gamepads while PC users get the more precise control with the keyboard and the mouse.

Moreoverm, Jennings stated in the interview that having players team up against AI instead of dishing it out on each other would be a better implementation. This would eliminate the potential complaints of players being overpowered in terms of the control speed.

The game's scheduled to be out on the 21st of February 2017 and it will be simultaneously be released on both Xbox One and Windows 10.
