With more than a year before "Pitch Perfect 3" finally hits the theaters, a number of fans could have been talking already if Adam DeVine is coming back or not.
Will the 32-year-old return to reprise his role?
It can be recalled that in the past two installments of the Universal Pictures films, the actor used to portray the role of Bumper Allen, the arrogant leader of the group called the Treblemakers.
Based on the previously released "Pitch Perfect 3" news and rumors, there has been no confirmation yet if Adam DeVine will still be part of the movie.
In an interview with Los Angeles Times, as shared by Seventeen, he explained why he is unsure of his fate when it comes to the final cast of the upcoming third installment of the musical comedy film.
"I don't even know if I'm going to be in it," he shared. "I think it was script stuff. They haven't locked in the story... They did not have me sign on."
Meanwhile, when he talked to Pop Sugar about his possible involvement in "Pitch Perfect 3," Adam DeVine disclosed that he already has a character in mind which Zac Efron, his co-star in the comedy flick "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates," can actually play.
He stated that the actor may be introduced as Bumper's younger brother should he failed to sign a contract to continue playing his character. However, Zac Efron expressed doubt if he could ever portray such role saying, "Not a chance... I don't think I could because when he (DeVine) does it, it's great. He's so funny."
According to the Deadline, "Pitch Perfect 3" will be released on Dec. 22, 2017, along with "The Croods 2" from Fox, "The Six Billion Dollar Man" from Weinstein/Dimension and the still untitled rated PG-13 comedy from Warner Bros.
