Rebel Wilson, posted on her Twitter account a photo of the first day of their taping for the movie "Pitch Perfect 3." In the photo, all the Bella members are present except for Hailee Steinfeld.

It's been expected that most of original Bella members will return in "Pitch Perfect 3." But where is the first sequel's freshman Emily Junk, played by Steinfeld, and why isn't she in the photo?

For those fans who are worried about Hailee Steinfeld, it is confirmed that her character Emily Junk, the Legacy, will return in "Pitch Perfect 3." As stated in the report of E Online News, the actress said that she will be returning to the hit musical franchise after making her debut in the second flick.

Hailee Steinfeld isn't in the set photo because she simply wasn't on set on first day of shooting when the photo was taken. Steinfeld is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture for her work in "The Edge of Seventeen."

While this is great relief for Emily Junk fans, others may not be thrilled that some cast members are not going to be in "Pitch Perfect 3."

The Burdens University's famous Treble Makers seems to be taking a leave in the film. Skylar Astin posted on his Twitter account saying, "Yes. As of now, the Trebles and I won't be in the third Pitch Perfect 3 movie. They seem to be taking the story in a different direction."

The film was originally set to be directed by Elizabeth Banks, but she had to leave the project due to a packed schedule. She will, however, remain as producer and retain her role as Gail, the commentator.

Newcomer Ruby Rose is also said to star in the third installment, although her role in the film is yet to be revealed. The actress gained fame for her role in the Netflix hit "Orange is the New Black."

There's no information yet released regarding on the movie's plot and how the story takes a different direction. "Pitch Perfect 3" is scheduled for release on Dec. 22, 2017.
