The upcoming gaming console Nintendo NX is expected to consist of new specs and features compared to its earlier installment, the Wii U. Reports claimed that the Japanese multinational company might provide the upcoming gaming platform with a new controller.

The Week reported that the Nintendo NX might feature an oval touchscreen controller, which will sport two grips at the bottom and two large buttons on either side of the device. Reports claimed that the new controller will similar to the tablets available in the market.

The main reason behind designing the new type of controller is stated to be the inclusion of the new apps on the gaming platform featuring only original Nintendo games and NX content. Tech Radar reported that users will be able to carry the controller anywhere and access the applications anytime they want to.

Furthermore, it is reported that the Nintendo NX will be a disc-less console. According to Alphr, the new console will utilize the download-only approach and use game cartridges. The flash storage is expected to be more reliable, faster, and cheaper than the optical storage.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the Nintendo NX will provide a totally new way of playing games. Trusted Reviews reported that that the NX will be a hybrid device, which will sport both a home gaming console and a handy handheld gaming platform.

It is also being rumored that the Nintendo NX might sport a virtual reality feature for a better and more modern gaming experience.

Even though there is no official confirmation on the release date of Nintendo NX, the new gaming console is rumored to be released in March 2017.
