Ubisoft just dropped a teaser trailer for the highly anticipated game, "Watch Dogs 2."
The game developer uploaded a teaser video on Youtube, titled "Hello World", which shows an unknown person tinkering with a smartphone, an important hacking tool in the previous "Watch Dogs" game. Random data flashed on the screen in front of him.
The 32-second video did not include any dialogues nor action scenes, Twinfinite reports, but it is enough to start the "Watch Dogs" hype all over again.
The video description states that Ubisoft is gearing for a "Watch Dogs 2" world premiere reveal on June 8.
There are a lot of rumors that circulated before this teaser trailer was released. Ubisoft has been completely silent about its latest game, but a few leaks on the internet gave the details away.
In May, performance artist King posted an image on Instagram showing what looks like the new protagonist of "Watch Dogs". If this is confirmed, then vigilante Aiden Pearce will not return for a sequel.
Youtuber The Rad Brad has also recently posted a photo on microblogging site Twitter, showing a "Watch Dogs 2" Gift Box which was apparently sent to him by Ubisoft.
In a previous post, IGN has reported that a "Watch Dogs" sequel is in the works, as confirmed by creative director Jonathan Morin. The team wants to make sure that the next "Watch Dogs" title is better than the first, with Morin commenting that the first installment was far from perfect.
"When you start a new project, it's a blank page and everything you do is what you want to do," Morin said. "With a sequel, there is more pressure to push a brand forward and we now have to appeal to fans in a new way."
Ubisoft has confirmed that the sequel to its open-world action game will be present at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, along with other Ubisoft titles like "For Honor", "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" and "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands".
Gamespot will post the livestream link for the world premiere of "Watch Dogs 2" as soon as it goes live.
