It's confirmed. Watch Dogs 2 is coming to the Electronics Entertainment Expo this year.

Ubisoft reveals its E3 lineup today, in an email detailing the game developer's plans for the show, Gamespot reported. The game company said that it will "present highly anticipated titles such as Watch Dogs 2, For Honor and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands." There are reportedly some surprises to be revealed at E3 as well.

Watch Dogs 2 will have a "new tone," Ubisoft chief executive Yves Guillemot has previously said, and has the potential to be one of Ubisoft's best-selling games of all time, Gamespot reported.

Prior to the email announcement, a photo of a Watch Dogs 2 "gift box" has been circulating on microblogging site Twitter. The box was sent to YouTuber The Rad Brad, who recently posted a picture of what looked like Watch Dogs 2 signature Ray-Bans and a box with the Watch Dog logo on it. "Thanks Ubisoft for the Watch Dogs 2 gift box," the accompanying caption said.

Mobile & Apps has revealed recently that there is a possibility of Watch Dogs 2 debuting at the popular trade show, with the game's creative director Jonathan Morin confirming that the game is indeed in the works. The director hinted as well that the team is working hard to deliver a better Watch Dogs experience compared to the first installment. "When you start a new project, it's a blank page and everything you do is what you want to do," Morin says. "With a sequel, there is more pressure to push a brand forward and we now have to appeal to fans in a new way."

The game is also rumored to come out between now and April 2017, as evidenced by Ubisoft's company report this year. No mainline Assassin's Creed is in development in 2016, and the game company would need to fill its absence with another major title, and Watch Dogs 2 will make a perfect replacement.

Ubisoft's E3 presentation is scheduled for Monday, June 13, 1PM PST.
