With every passing day, the Nokia Lumia 928 seems more likely to be a phone that is real and not some baseless rumor created by fanboys. The latest rumor came from a member on Reddit, who apparently had the chance to see a Lumia 928 in person.
According to the poster, who goes by the name VERTE10, the Lumia 928 will have an edge-to-edge display, and it should be noticeably lighter and thinner than the Lumia 920. We already knew about the weight due to previous rumors, but nothing was said up until now about the display being edge-to-edge.
VERTE10 statement and comments on Reddit:
"I just got to hold a 928
I'm here at work and a customer came by the store and was asking what all phones the 920 cases would fit on. He pulled out his phone and I immediately new [sic] what it was!
I almost flipped out when I saw it. He said I could check it out if I didn't take any pictures or remember the serial number. Guys it is amazing!! The screen is beautiful and it is noticeably lighter than the 920. I am so glad I held out on Verizon so that I can get that phone.
Ps. He said that I wouldn't have to wait long for it!!!!!!
He is a Verizon Ex in the city I live in.
It had the same finish as the 920 but the screen went all the way to the edge.
It was thinner and lighter than the 920. It was more square then round on the edges which I liked when I held it. The gentleman said his battery life was about the same as his 8x."
Come May 14, the Lumia 928, along with other high-profile Windows Phone 8 devices should take center stage. For Nokia's sake, we hope the company reveals a compelling answer to the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
