The official Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean update is being rolled out to many devices and some of the advanced devices from Samsung are getting the more advanced Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean updates over the air (OTA).

As Samsung devices such as Galaxy S3 have started getting the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update, older devices such as Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note are still waiting for the advanced version of the Jelly Bean.

Samsung is soon to release the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for other devices and a list of the devices is out on the Web but unofficially.

SamMobile claims to be getting the crucial update from one of its reliable insider, and has posted a long list of Samsung devices that are due to get the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.

According to the report, the devices due for the firmware update are:

GT-I9080 - Galaxy Grand
GT-I9082 - Galaxy Grand DUOS
GT-I8160 - Galaxy Ace 2
GT-I8190 - Galaxy S 3 mini
GT-I8350 - Galaxy Beam
GT-I8730 - Galaxy Express
GT-I9070 - Galaxy S Advance
GT-I9100 - Galaxy S 2
GT-I9105 - Galaxy S 2 Plus
GT-I9260 - Galaxy Premier
GT-N7000 - Galaxy Note
GT-S6310 - Galaxy Young
GT-S6312 - Galaxy Young DUOS
GT-S6810 - Galaxy Fame
GT-S7710 - Galaxy X Cover 2

The list included newly launched device such as Samsung Grand and Samsung Duos that run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

With the release of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note, these will be the device to get third Android update since their launch.

The Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note were launched running Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread out of the box and later were shifted to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. Both the smartphones recently received the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update.

The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is going to give all these devices a better user interface (UI) that will make the touchscreen and the keyboard of the phones more responsive. The smartphone will also see a number of upgraded features related to camera.
