Diablo Immortal: Dark Lord Diablo returns to the game. The fans are finally ready for Diablo Immortal Season 31, with this update promising such excitement: new events, balance changes, and most importantly: darkness as far as the eye can see - a looming presence by Diablo himself.

A Rocky Beginning Turned Success Story

From a really shaky start at BlizzCon 2018, where the game was met with frustrations, Diablo Immortal has morphed into one of the best in the game realm.

The online multiplayer role-playing game (RPG) with regular updates from Blizzard is consistently bringing new content, extending gameplay modes, and expanding the main storyline of the game, which makes it exciting two years after its so-far-released date.

According to GameRant, the gameplay brought to the Tempest class in May 2024, for example, as well as the limited-time Shadow of the Frozen Throne crossover event, is inspired by the World of Warcraft expansion series Wrath of the Lich King, in which players were able to gather Frostmourne-themed cosmetics. 

Now, with Season 31 on the horizon, Blizzard will be re-igniting one of the most powerful villains in the franchise, and in this, we find our information.

The Reemergence of Diablo in Season 31

Diablo Immortal is finally dropping its much-awaited Season 31 on September 24. The season marks not just the appearance of new features, but the return of the Dark Lord himself, following his defeat in Diablo 3 when he failed to make it to Diablo 4 and was subsequently replaced by Lilith as the game's central antagonist. 

But, as if the world hasn't already been set ablaze, Diablo Immortal brings the dread fiend back into the fray for his last showdown and rounds of battling wits and steel with the players. 

Although not revealed as of yet when this update will drop, it promises to be one hell of a ride when Diablo comes back for his players.

What's New in Diablo Immortal Season 31?

Diablo Immortal Season 31 is something that many players have been waiting for. Here is what is in store for the gamers:

Returning Events

• Wild Brawl (Sept 27 - Oct 4): PVP arena game mode wherein players can fight to be at the top.
• Shady Stock (Sept 28 - Oct 5): Limited time stockpiling of items.
• Winds of Fortune (Oct 1 - Oct 8): Beautiful rewards await as you participate in different activities.
• Alley of Blood (Oct 4 - Oct 11): A single-lane PvP event for teams.
• All Clans on Deck (Oct 5 - Oct 12): Join your clan and participate in this team-based activity.
• Trial of the Hordes (Oct 11 - Oct 18): Hold off waves of enemies and earn great rewards for it.
• Fire Before Darkness (Oct 12 - Oct 19): A rigorous trial by fire that will test your limits.

In addition to these stated events, balance changes and feature updates are also being made to enhance the game.

Customization and Halloween-Themed Events

For character customizers, Season 31 comes with its all-new cosmetic sets. While Blizzard has faced much criticism over the years in relation to microtransactions, this season introduces the Battle Pass for players to acquire extra cosmetics and Legendary Gems. 

Lastly, the in-game shop will contain the Nightmoon Curse cosmetic set for 1,000 Eternal Orbs. Yakin returns, packed with offerings for sale with the restocked Shady Stock.

Blizzard has, in teasers, teased that it will bring back the popular Halloween-themed event that is known as Hallow's Wake, which will be back this October. Expect information on the spooky event on Oct. 7.
