Among the tech giants competing nowadays, Microsoft and Lenovo might be the first ones to release Notebooks powered by ARM. This would probably create an implicit threat to other processors in the market.

Microsoft just announced recently that it is open for a possible compatibility between its desktop Windows 10 platform and the chipsets of ARM, reported MSPoweruser. This possibility was the first time ever that the company did. The only difference is that before, a variant operating system was made, however, now the tech giant doesn't have to repeat what it did with Windows RT. On the other hand, there are some sources closely related to this issue stated that Microsoft is not the sole tech giant which is prepping up for ARM-powered Notebooks.

According to Wccftech, Lenovo is also entertaining the possibility of indulging in the market of portable devices and using the said processor is in its to-do-list. With this news already spreading, upstream suppliers expressed that these two tech giants, Microsoft and Lenovo, are the first companies that publicized that their next portable devices will be powered by ARM. Then Windows 10 is said to run through a layer of emulation. Trusted Reviews also reported that a new Surface device is about to be served by Microsoft for its customers together with a 2-in-1 from Lenovo that are said to be running with an ARM-based processor. All of this definitely would bring Intel into an arena of stronger competition. The line up of AMD Ryzen is already in full swing.

Meanwhile, ARM has found a partnership with Microsoft which is expected to bring Windows 10 support to mobile processors. The upcoming devices that will be brought out by this partnership will be cheaper and more energy efficient. Despite that these machines, which will be released sooner or later, compared to their desktop counterparts are a bit slower but their battery life is extended, aside from the fact that portability is a plus factor. These advantages will be able to experience by the users through the mobile chipsets and the cellular connectivity which are featured on the portable computing machines.
