The 2017 iteration of the iconic Nokia 3310 took the mobile phone realm by storm when it made a long-awaited comeback to the market. Now, it looks like Nokia diehard fans will finally be able to get their hands on the coveted feature phone later this month as the device's pre-order listings for Germany and Austria point to an April 28 launch.

HMD Global, the Finnish mobile phone maker which currently holds the right to manufacture and sell handsets under Nokia brand name, has already debunked rumors centering on the 3G variant listing of the Nokia 3310. Moreover, the device might come with a slightly higher price tag than the pricing details provided at the time of its global launch.

Nokia 3310 (2017) Release Date & Price

If the pre-order listing spotted by NokiaPowerUser (via Gadgets 360) is true, the new Nokia 3310 will be up for grabs in Germany as well as Austria on Friday, April 28. In this listing, the device seems to carry a steep price tag of about EUR 56 (or $60) contrary to the company's previously announced price of EUR 49, which converts to about $53.

In its report, NPU pointed out that the aforesaid listing carries article numbers for the Nokia 3310 models valid across other retailers. Also, the retailers who have placed the pre-order listings for the device comprise E-Tec, Allstechnik, and Comstern (Germany and Austria). Another report from IndiaToday suggests the lauded feature phone might hit the store shelves in India sometime in June; however, this is mere speculation at the moment.

Lack Of 3G Support For Nokia 3310 (2017)

HMD Global told NPU (via IndiaTimes) that pre-order listings for a 3G model of the revamped Nokia 3310 were just bogus. In other words, despite undergoing a radical cosmetic overhaul, the highly sought-after phone will only support 2G connections, as previous reports have indicated.

Nokia 3310 (2017) Release Date In India

The newfangled Nokia 3310 might launch in India sooner rather than later, provided the company sticks to its release pattern. It can be recalled that at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) launch event, HMD noted that all products will be available by the second quarter of this year in Europe, Africa, Middle East, APAC, and India.

It remains to be seen whether or not the 2G connectivity limitation restricts the Nokia 3310 (2017) from launching in many other developed markets. Watch this space for more Nokia 3310-related news and updates!
