Xiaomi Mi Mix successor has seen on the list of online retailer GearBest. The speculated Mi Mix 2 spec sheet on the website, however, is more likely a mock.
Last year, Xioami Mi Mix was considered to be an intriguing phone and the fans are in high anticipation of what could be the next flagship. Unfortunately, seeing the image posted in GearBest showing a device with no bezels at all is quite impossible. This is more like a concept and not a reality yet. The image with the list of specs even comes with an Arrival Notice button. This spot, according to GSM Arena, is dedicated for email addresses that want to be notified once the device is already available. The render image, even prior of the listing is totally a mock up. It is not likely for Xiaomi to eliminate the front camera in order to give way to an entire display front façade.
According to the details on the GearBest's listing, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM variants. The first two will be paired with a 128GB internal storage and the third one will come with 256GB internal storage. It was also mentioned that it would come with two color variants namely, Black and White, says Android Headlines. The device's whole screen, which measures 6.4 inches will have2540 x 1440 AMOLED display. Mi Mix only had a 2040 x 1080 panel.
Mi Mix 2 is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor alongside with Andreno 540 GPU. It is supposed to be equipped with a 19M rear camera, which is said to have a Sony IMX400, used in Xperia XZ Premium, and a 13MP front camera. It was also said that Mi Mix 2 will be run by Android 7.1 Nougat and will allow a dual sim card function. In addition, the device will be able to have a support for 4G LTE bands in a wider range. Gizbot reported that the Mi Mix had a 4,400mAh battery while it is said that its successor will have a 4,500mAh battery capacity.
With all these listed specs and features, it is still too early to say if Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be rolled out soon, since its predecessor was released in October, more likely it will wait until the third quarter of this year.
