A tech journalist of creditable record has revealed details about the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5. The latest revelation might not please the fans anticipating the release of the device.
Paul Thurrott reveals the inside track about the rumored Microsoft Surface Pro 5. According to the tweet of the well-known tech journalist, the latest Microsoft's device is still retaining its Surface Connect power connector. He also added that it will come with a Kaby Lake processor from Intel.
ARs Technica explained this tweet that the company is not yet transferring to USB-C charger as what other company is starting to have. It also said in the tweet that "nothing dramatic" as it is using the Intel's processor and not one of the processors from AMD Ryzen.
In addition, according to Thurrott that the Microsoft's flagship 2-in-1 tablet, which will be powered by Kaby Lake, is a whole about-face to the latest rumor of the company's anticipated shift to AMD. This rumor arose when a video teaser of a sci-fi film entitled "Alien: Covenant" showed a Surface Pro-looking device. In the video, a female scientist is using a seemed like Microsoft's popular hybrid tablet while she and her co-worker are creating a humanoid Walter portrayed by the actor Michael Fassbender. Another scene from the video teaser showed a chip with AMD printed on it and was implanted on Walter.
The Verge has taken the "nothing dramatic" phrase from Thurrott's tweet that it would mean that Surface Pro 5 has no game-changing improvement. It can be said that the Microsoft's successor is nothing much but a "refreshed design with upgraded components". However, when asked, the author of 25 books clearly expressed that he just wrote what he really knew about the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
