Samsung Galaxy S8 will be unveiled on March 29. The company is confident that the flagship device will be received well by the smartphone market despite the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 mess.
Just a month after the Mobile World Congress, Samsung Galaxy S8 will be launched in New York on the 29th. This is one of the company's major events that will showcase the company latest range of products. The announcement of the flagship device is a bit later than they were usually launched.
According to Gartner Research Director Werner Goertz, it is possible that the Korean tech conglomerate is taking its time running a series of tests to make sure the Galaxy Note 7 debacle will not be repeated. It can be recalled that the phone's battery exploding was the integral cause of the phenomenal recall.
Recently, Samsung's Executive Vice President InJong Rhee in a blog post hinted on the integration of Bixby to the upcoming device. This alleged latest feature is the personal assistant, which according to Rhee will be profoundly different from other similar voice agents in the market. The VP added that the inclusion of Bixby on their smartphones will be a pioneering effort that will soon cascade to their appliances.
Aside from Bixby, speculations claim that Samsung Galaxy S8 will have the iris scanner and fast charging feature. Other reports claim that since the Galaxy Note 7, the Korean company will bounce back stronger with the S8, sporting edge-to-edge display with a fingerprint reader. Moreover, there are other predictions saying that the flagship device will have a SUPER AMOLED display.
Aside from speculations, there were also leaks that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be released in three color variants with a sleek design. Although the speculated features look very promising, the news that was made by the Note 7 will forever be etched in the memory of smartphone industry. And whether the company has learned from its previous mistakes still remains to be seen.
