This year, Apple is celebrating the 10th year anniversary of the birth of the iPhone. With this in mind, fans are expecting more from the tech giant in terms of the upcoming iPhone's design, specs, and features.
From what we have heard from several reports, the upcoming iPhone 8 will have an all-glass and steel body design. In addition, it will maintain the 2.5D screen from the iPhone 7. Aside from those, it is also speculated that the flagship phone will have a curved AMOLED display. Furthermore, it will sport a radical design with an edge-to-edge display that drops the top and bottom bezels.
Although the first series of Apple's iPhone has a big influence to the coming iPhone 8, the hardware and software will be so much more advanced as compared to its older siblings. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the iPhone 8 could include more advanced biometric features including facial recognition or iris scanning.
These features, according to the analyst could be from the latest front-facing camera system that allows users to unlock their devices by having the phone detect the face of the owner. To top it all, Apple is working on the iPhone 8 for long-range wireless charging technology that could be implemented as early as 2017
iPhone 8 is also said to come on a bigger 5.8 inches screen that can entertain smaller second touch display. According to PCAdvisor, it is expected that the newest A11 chip will be paired with e upcoming device's 3GB RAM. An A11 chip, like all of Apple's chip upgrades, will be both faster and more energy efficient.
Furthermore, iPhone 8 reportedly will have a bigger battery for a longer operation life and internal storage options of up to 256GB. As for the camera, Apple's newest Iphone8 will have a 3D camera, which will work on the facial recognition scanner.
The iPhone 8 is highly anticipated to be available to the consumers in September or October 2017. At present, Apple has been very silent about the information of its upcoming flagship device.
