After weeks of teasing and releasing ambiguous photos of a new OnePlus announcement, the cat is finally out of the bag. Based on the teasers that have been released thus far, there has been a myriad of speculations as to the nature of OnePlus' big announcement. However, the actual product that has been revealed may be a disappointment for some as it is likely not what was expected.

According to GSM Arena, the company has now officially announced an all-black OnePlus 3T model that is meant to be a commemoration of the Colette Store's 20th anniversary. Due to the "blue" background colored teasers, the all black OnePlus 3T model is pretty much unexpected.

Solely based on the previous teasers, fans were expecting a brand new model to be announced, namely the highly-awaited OnePlus 5. Other reports had claimed that the company may unveil a blue-colored variant of the OnePlus 3T that would be made available worldwide.

Not only is the new OnePlus 3T version not the right color as expected, but it also really isn't available for everyone. The new 20th anniversary Colette Paris edition OnePlus 3T will reportedly be a limited edition device that will only have 250 units made. The special edition device will also not be available to purchase online. The device will only be available at the actual Colette Store in Paris, specifically at their branch in 213 Rue Saint-Honore on March 21.

Despite its exclusivity, the 20th anniversary Colette Paris edition OnePlus 3T is really no different from the standard OnePlus 3T model. Aside from its color and the Colette Paris logo at the back, the phone is still identical to the Gunmetal and Soft Gold versions. Skinning either one of those models with an all black cover will achieve the same result. The special edition OnePlus 3T with 128 GB of internal storage will be sold at around $500, which is exactly the same price as the regular 128 GB Gunmetal variant.
