The recently launched OnePlus 3T did not quite sweep smartphone enthusiasts off their feet, thanks to the device's dull upgrades. As a result, fans are already clamoring for the next-gen model.
Leaving out the number 4 since it is treated as bad luck in China; OnePlus will jump straight to the OnePlus 5, instead. Just like its previously launched phones, the impending OnePlus 5 flagship will be a high-spec'd device loaded with an array of awe-inspiring hardware specifications and features.
OnePlus 5 Specifications & Features
OnePlus 5 is likely to have 8GB of RAM, which is a considerable upgrade from OnePlus 3T's 6GB of RAM. Moreover, it packs Qualcomm's latest flagship processor i.e. the octa-core Snapdragon 835, which is coupled with the Adreno 540 GPU, according to a recent report.
Furthermore, the OnePlus 5 might sport smaller bezels compared to its precursor. Aside from that, it is said to come with a rear-mounted dual-camera setup. Sporting a slim design (7mm thick), the OnePlus 5 is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery, GSM Arena reported. On the display front, the Chinese smartphone maker is set to make a radical jump from fullHD to QuadHD with 1440x2560 pixels resolution in the OnePlus 5.
OnePlus 5 Release Date
OnePlus 5 is expected to hit the store shelves in the second quarter of 2017, bearing a price tag of $500, according to Phone Arena. However, OnePlus has neither confirmed nor denied these rumors, which might prove to be false.
The popular smartphone manufacturer recently came out with an awe-inspiring Matt Black model of the OnePlus 3T, which according to the company took more than a year of test and processes to create.
