The Apple iPad Mini 5 has been one of the favorite subjects of rumors and speculations for quite some time now. Although the Cupertino-based company has yet to provide the official details of the highly anticipated tablet, tech fans have continued to share their own predictions on what to expect once the device becomes available in the market.

Now, new reports have emerged suggesting that the Apple iPad Mini 5 will be unveiled during the company's April 4 event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park. According to the report, tech observers are starting to speculate that Apple CEO Tim Cook and company will announce the next generation iPad Mini during the inauguration of the 175-acre Apple Park, which is said to be the future headquarters of Apple.

The recent Apple iPad Mini discounts from different retailers is also a good indication that the company is preparing to launch a new device. Although there are rumors circulating that Apple will rebrand the iPad Mini line into iPad Pro Mini, the company has yet to provide an official statement regarding the speculations.

Nonetheless, if rumors prove to be true, the new iPad Pro Mini will carry a 7.9-inch display system and will run on impressive specs and features. It is said to have quad microphones, four speakers, and a True Tone display technology, Macworld reported.

Other features of the alleged iPad Pro Mini or iPad Mini 5 include a 12 MP primary camera with True Tone flash and iSight. It will also come with a Smart Connector along with a fingerprint scanner, which is pretty common amongst the recent Apple releases.

As of the moment, tech enthusiasts are still waiting for the company to make an official statement regarding the recent speculations. However, fans have reason to believe that something big is going to come out this year from Apple aside from the much-awaited iPhone 8.
