Over the years, Apple has still not announced any news about new iPad lineup. Since then, many speculation has surrounded both tablets and one of it is whether or not Apple will most likely continue manufacturing iPads.
The iPad Mini was launched back in September 2015 while the iPad Air 2 was launched from two years back. It has been too much time since a new version of tablets were released. Many doubt that Apple may never release another iPad lineup again.
Christian Post reports that Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that a 9.7-inch iPad with an A9 processor would be released this time of the year. The publication believes that the said device would be the iPad Air 3.
Since the iPad Air 3 is known for being less expensive, an A9 processor would do just fine for the tablet. Also, Apple already has an A10 chipset and an older processer will be credited for being used for the device.
For its release date, Ming-Chi Kuo stated that a March launch date is possible. However, online rumors iterated that the iPad Air 3 might be delayed well into the latter part of the year. But nothing is still certain at the moment as Apple has been silent over the device's details.
Meanwhile, online rumors about another Apple iPad, the iPad Mini 5, states that the company might not see the light of day. However, the said device is scheduled for a refresh, meaning a new iPad Mini 5 will be released by Apple.
Racing Junky reports that the iPad Mini 5 will never be launched and the series would be completely scrapped out. The news outlet states that taking its place is a mini variant of the iPad Pro 2017 with a 7.9-inch screen size and be called iPad Pro Mini.
