Bethesda has recently announced that "Prey" will be released in May. The FPS game that is developed by Arkane Studios will be available in PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 5. Bethesda also released a second gameplay trailer for the game today.
Polygon reports that the gameplay trailer shows more of Talos I and the story of the game. Views learns that the main protagonist Morgan Yu can be male or female, depending on the player's choice. Yu is also the Vice-president and the director of research for the TranStar Corporation.
It appears that the protagonist is currently studying alien lifeforms known as the Typhon, onboard the Talos I. Yu discovered that the aliens have neuromods that can be transferred to humans by injecting a sample of it to the eye socket.
The neuromods that the aliens possess can turn the species into different objects and the test changes Morgan too, in him the same abilities as the alien have. After the outbreak, Yu is tasked in containment and eliminating the alien lifeforms scattered in Talos I.
Meanwhile, GameSpot reports that the "Prey" Cosmonaut Shotgun Pack pre-order bonus is also available in the game. The pre-order bonus comes with Morgan Yu's family heirloom Margrave shotgun and tools to fight the aliens onboard.
Bethesda states that three Neuromods will be used to fend off the aliens in Talos I. Two Medkits and a Fabrication plan to create the shotgun and ammo. There is also a starter pack for building tools and weapons and a unique upgrade to help players preserve their limited resources. "Prey takes place indoors but Bethesda says that the entire space station is open for exploration, including the zero-gravity sections in space outside.
"Prey" is developed by Arkane Studios in Austin, Texas. This is a separate team from the "Dishonored" game developers.
