Game developer Bungie will be wrapping up its support for "Destiny" with a final live event happening by late March. Ahead of the slated official reveal of Age of Triumph on March 8, it has released a short teaser to whet the appetite of its fans and give a peek a what's up ahead in the game's last update.
As seen in the new trailer below, the Age of Triumph update will be adding a new record book set out as the biggest one so far. It contains several Year 3 tasks of the game as well as a journey back to the classic Vault of Glass raid. Also, there's a new dialogue for The Speaker, Gamespot reported.
Players will hear more of the details regarding "Destiny" Age of Triumph tomorrow when the first of the three livestreams scheduled for this final update goes live on its official Twitch channel. The other dedicated livestreams are the weekly rituals set on March 15 and Sandbox update on March 22.
All these lead toward the release of the update around last week of March. It is expected to add new challenges, rewards and other exciting items as the developer's way to wrap things up for the game's 3-year run with a big bang.
After that, Bungie will no direct its full attention to launching "Destiny 2" later in the year. As revealed last week, the development team confirmed that players will be allowed to transfer their characters' looks but will exclude their equipment or experience. The class, race, gender, face, hair and other aesthetics at Level 20 will be carried forward including the completed Black Garden story mission.
It further stated that sequels spell out a new journey for players and embark on enthralling adventures in all new worlds, a different storyline with new power, loots and a lot more to grab, as per Express Online.
Bungie has not yet announced an official release date for "Destiny 2" other than the late 2017 release window. However, speculations are rife that it will take place after E3 this year.
