All speculations leading to the 2017 Mobile World Congress are slowly being confirmed or disproved. The Huawei P10 with all its iPhone 7 resemblance has disproved the speculation that the new Huawei smartphone will feature a curved screen.

The new Huawei smartphone has drawn comparisons with the Apple iPhone 7 primarily because its design closely resembles the current Apple flagship phone. With all the iPhone 7 comparisons, the new Huawei flagship phone claims that its Leica-style portraits are a cut above the rest.

The Huawei P10 vs iPhone 7 comparison begins with the similarity of the theory used to achieve the shallow depth of field that is typically achieved using expensive photography gears. Both smartphones use a combination of dual-camera array and software to achieve the effect.

Though both share the same technological theory, iPhone 7's implementation of the said theory is different from the take of new Huawei smartphone. The iPhone 7 can switch to the longer lens to achieve better portraits, which is not the case for Huawei P10.

The new Huawei smartphone features two camera sensors located at its back. The first sensor is the typical sensor with the traditional color filter array while the second only captures monochrome images.

The two Huawei P10 camera sensors are located at the back of 27mm-equivalent f/2.2 lens. The two cameras work together to produce more vivid images. The monochrome sensor picks up more details to create better photographs.

The camera sensors of the Huawei P10 creates a 3D image of the subject's face in Portrait mode. The 3D image created is then used to process which parts of the portrait should be focused.

The smartphone's camera is now considered as a primary consideration in buying phones. The camera of Huawei P10 may not be as good as the iPhone 7 but it still is at the top of the smartphone market.
