Huawei's P11 is nowhere close to hitting the store shelves; however, the upcoming smartphone has already been floating around the rumor mill.

Huawei unveiled its 2017 flagship dubbed, the Huawei P10 at the recently concluded MWC (Mobile World Congress), but smartphone enthusiasts are already clamoring for its successor, the Huawei P11. While nothing is set in stone yet, reports about the alleged heir of the P10 have started pouring in from all corners. Here's a rundown of the Huawei P11's rumored launch date, price and other details.

Huawei P11 Release Date & Price

Some recently surfaced reports go as far as predicting that the Huawei P11 will be unveiled exactly a year after the launch of its predecessor, i.e. at the MWC 2018. The theory also suggests consumers will be able to get their hands on the device in early March 2018.

While these are mere speculations, an MWC 2018 launch is not completely out of question. Bruce Lee, Huawei's Vice President added more fuel to the already burning rumors when he revealed that the company's future flagship launches can be expected to be in a similar cadence during an interview with AndroidCentral. In other words, all Huawei devices will probably debut at Mobile World Congress.

Throwing light on the decision to use MWC as the platform for the P10 and its successor P11's launch, Lee clarified the idea was to have the new devices in European stores before Easter. While the date for Easter changes by year, it's usually sometime around April. It's definitely understandable if Huawei continued unveiling its P-series phones in that month, it will be quite arduous to commence sales ahead of the holiday, according to GSM Arena.

The smartphone is expected to carry a price tag of £550 in the UK, which converts to about $690. The Huawei P10 is priced at £649 (about $692), Gadgets360 reported.

Huawei P11 Specifications

The Huawei P11 is likely to sport a 5.2in Quad HD IPS display with 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution, a 20MP dual-lens camera, and a fingerprint sensor at the front. Under the hood, the P11 could pack 3GHz octa-core processor coupled with a Kirin 970 chipset. The device could offer 64GB of internal storage with a microSD card expansion slot (up to 256GB).

Moreover, it may come with 6GB of RAM and a robust 3,200mAh non-removable battery. The Dual-SIM (4G) smartphone may offer a USB 3.1 Type-C as far as connectivity is concerned.

Huawei has remained tight-lipped about these rumors, and readers are therefore advised to take these speculations with a huge grain of salt until these shreds of information are officially confirmed or debunked by the Chinese tech firm.
