Huawei has announced a downsized iteration of its recently unveiled flagship smartphone, the Huawei P10. Dubbed as Huawei P10 Lite, the phone has been subject to a series of leaks and retailers' listings.
The Huawei P10 Lite is slated to hit the stores in just a couple of weeks with emphasis on the device's performance, battery life, and camera. Huawei introduced bevies of crucial modifications on its latest top-notch release in order to build the low-cost Lite version and keep it unique from its big sibling at the same time.
Huawei P10 Lite Vs. Huawei P10: Specifications
First off, the Huawei P10 Lite will be sporting a bigger display at 5.2-inch screen size with Full-HD (1080p) resolution. It's worth noting that the Huawei P10 comes with the same resolution but features a slightly smaller 5.1-inch screen.
Under the hood, the Huawei P10 Lite will pack the Kirin 658 processor, coupled with Mali-T830MP2 GPU and an octa-core A53 processor; one of the modifications made for the P10 Lite to conform its lower price. Meanwhile, Huawei's latest Kirin 950 processor will be powering up the original P10.
Aside from that, there's a striking difference between the Huawei P10 and the Lite model on the photography front as well. While the Huawei P10 boasts Leica dual rear cameras, the P10 Lite, on the other hand, sports a 12MP primary camera. However, the Lite version has an 8MP front shooter just like the original P10, according to Phone Arena.
The Pl0 Lite will pack 4GB of RAM, like the original P10, but it is paired with 32GB of expandable storage, as opposed to the P10's 64GB of random-access memory. Moreover, the P10 Lite is said to come with a 3,000 mAh battery, which is slightly smaller than the original's 3,200 mAh. Both devices have 18W quick-charging support.
The Lite version of the Huawei P10 flagship smartphone runs on Android Nougat with the EMUI 5.1 along with all of its software features such as memory optimizations, Power Saver 5.0, better performance, Quik integration and knuckle gestures, GSM Arena reported.
