Square Enix has recently announced that "Dragon Quest Heroes II" will be launched for the Sony PlayStation 4 and Windows PC via Steam on April 25, 2017. The hack-and-slash video game was given the title "Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End" when it was released in Japan.
"Dragon Quest Heroes II" is the second game in the series and was initially released in Japan on May 27, 2016. The first title from the video game series is "Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below."
The video game was a combination of the "Dragon Quest" game from Square Enix and the Koei Tecmo game "Dynasty Warriors." "Dragon Quest Heroes II" was developed by Omega Force, which is the same developer that created "Dynasty Warriors."
A Nintendo Switch "Dragon Quest Heroes II" will also be released. The video game was announced for the Switch during the Jan. 12 presentation of the hybrid game console. A "Dragon Quest Heroes I-II" combo pack will be released for the Nintendo Switch.
The Day One "Explorer's Edition" of the game can already be pre-ordered from the PlayStation Store and the Square Enix Online Store. The "Dragon Quest Heroes II Explorer's Edition" will come with 15 exclusive DLC items.
"Dragon Quest Heroes II" video game fans who will be preordering the game on the PlayStation Store will be getting a PS4 theme "Dragon Quest Heroes I" costume. Aside from the costume, a special recipe that will allow players to build a statue of Helix in the game will also be given to those who preorders the game from the PS Store.
The PC and PS4 versions of "Dragon Quest Heroes II" are scheduled to be released on April 25 in NA. The EU release date is scheduled three days later, on April 28.
