HTC 10 users in India should rejoice as the Android Nougat update starts rolling out for their devices. Also, HTC One M9 devices in the UK are also beginning to receive the update.
According to Android Central, the Nougat update was first released back in November by HTC for unlocked devices in the US. Since then, users in the UK received their update at the end of last month. It's now India's turn to get the much awaited Nougat 7.0. See below the improvements from the said update.
The multi-window multitasking feature makes it convenient to do two things at once and to be able to see them both at the same time. This update offers more than one window on your phone's screen. Apart from that, users can now reply to notifications directly from the spot in the tray and they won't need to open the app or install anything extra.
New tools can now help keep users from overage charges in mobile data. The new Data Saver setting can block background random data usage and restrict things such as checking for tweets or emails.
The Nougat update make things even more secure in keeping data private. When the device is started, only some apps will be able to work before users sign in with their password or PIN such as receiving text messages and alarm clocks. Other apps and data will remain unavailable, once signed in, everything will be normal.
Meanwhile, Trusted Reviews cited that the Nougat update is rolling out for HTC One M9 users in the UK. They will be receiving the Android 7.0.
