2K Sports has officially announced the release date of the much awaited "WWE 2K17" Hall of Fame Showcase DLC this week. As fans already know, it serves as the final expansion release for last year's iteration of the Wrestling game series.

This latest news has been confirmed by 2K Sports via the game's official Twitter account. In several posts, the publisher has teased fans with a sneak peek at iconic fights between ultimate and world famous WWE legendary wrestlers such as Sting vs. Ric Flair.

Exact Release Date and Price

The "WWE 2K17" Hall of Fame Showcase DLC is set to hit Xbox One and PS4 consoles this coming Tuesday, Feb. 21. PC users recently saw the game's release on such platform this month is also confimed to get this final expansion in the near futuree.

As known earlier, the Hall of Fame Showcase DLC costs around $9.99 when gamers opt to buy it separately. But this specific expansion is also available in "WWE 2K!7" Season Pass, which contains all five sets of DLC packs such as Accelator, Future Stars Pack, Legends Pack, New Moves Pack and the Hall of Fame Showcase DLC. All these are available at only $29.99 that offers 15% savings contrary to buying each of the downloable content one by one.

The Hall of Fame Showcase DLC is packed with playable matches of Cactus Jack and Diamond Dallas Page against The Fabulous Freebirds (Jimmy Garvin and Michael "PS" Hayes) at WCW Saturday Night 1992. It also features The Fabulous Freebirds (Buddy Roberts and Michael "PS" Hayes) and Kerry and Kevin Von Erich at WCCW 1986, via WWE 2K official website.

In addition to that, fans will also be able to play the fight between Ivory and Jacqueline at SmackDown 2000). Gamers can also relive the fight of Sting sporting gold and black tights fight against Ric Flair at Clash of Champions 198 as well as Sting in n.W.o. Wolfpac ring gear fight Bret Hart atWCW Halloween Havoc 1998. Other playable fights include Dream Match of Papa Shango vs. The Godfather and Big Boss Man with Albert wrestle with The Big Show at Armageddon 1999.

"WWE 2K17" is the current entry to the WWE 2K franchise developed by Yuke's and Visual concepts. It first launched on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and recently on Windows PC.
