The seas and sand will run red with blood as the upcoming episode of "Black Sails" will allegedly show a bevy of battles. "XXXII" is the fourth episode of the show's fourth and final season.
According to CarterMatt, "Black Sail's" final season "is a mighty big deal" since it will have to tie up all sorts of loose ends that involve several characters in the series. The promo for "XXXII" teased several confrontations in the upcoming fourth episode of "Black Sails" Season 4. Long John Silver is embroiled in intrigue, show large-scale battles were teased and "plenty of gunplay to go along with it."
Since the show is a prequel to the "Treasure Island" novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, it is fairly easy to predict what will happen to some of the characters. "Black Sail" is now tasked with making sure it goes out with a bang by going all out for the last remaining episodes and "finding some unique ways to delight" the viewers.
To date, "Black Sails" is averaging a 0.2 rating among its 18-49 demographic, meaning it is about average compared to the average ratings for Season 3. "Black Sails" is also down 18% in total viewers to date, but this could be due to the fact that one episode of the show aired against the Super Bowl.
In other news, Nerd Reactor has released a comprehensive for "XXXI," the third episode of "Black Sails" Season 4. In "XXXI," viewers saw "the cost of war on both sides."
The Governor of Nassau, Woodes Rogers, left for Port Royal to try and lure Edward "Blackbeard" Teach away from Nassau, and his efforts give Eleanor a chance to travel to Philadelphia. The latter manages to acquire resources from her grandfather and the well-off Guthrie family.
But it looks like Rogers actually plans to capture Blackbeard. Things look grim for Flint and the pirates, and the alliance between them and the slaves are getting more fragile by the minute.
Billy abandons Flint, and his actions divide their troops. Captain Berringer calls Max, and she is questioned about John Silver and their meetings. The captain suspects Max of supporting the pirate uprising, but she denies his accusations.
In Nassau, John Silver narrowly evades the soldiers who are after him. Flint rescues Silver, along with Hands. Rogers captures Teach, who is first keelhauled ("dragged under the ship from one side to the other), then shot in cold blood by Rogers. Meanwhile, Captain Berringer is defeated by Israel Hands, who receives permission from Silver to murder the captain.
