Samsung fans are already looking forward to the launch of the the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus as they anticipate new features for these upcoming devices. The offerings are expected to become available in a few months.

Display and processor

Forbes reported that Samsung could release the much-hyped Samsung Galaxy S8 along with its bigger brother, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. The latter is said to have a 6.2-inch screen with a curved design and sports 2K AMOLED display.

It was added that the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus could also have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Fans also hope that the brand would retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and also add iris and fingerprint scanners for security.

According to PocketLint, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a smaller 5.7-inch display which will also feature curved edges on both sides. It is believed that Samsung is already doing away with flat design for the screens of their smartphones.

Lesser bezels

In addition, both Samsung S8 releases are also thought to remove the home button and have minimal bezels. This will help users maximize their use of the phone's screen either for work or leisure.

Aside from these features, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus may also have dual speakers, a personal assistant and a side-mounted button. All these design improvements are aimed at giving owners a better user experience.

Release update and price details

It was added in the PocketLint report that the devices could be unveiled next month then go on sale by April. The Samsung Galaxy S8 could sell for $850 while the bigger S8 Plus may be pegged at $950. An estimated 10 million units of the Samsung Galaxy S8 are believed to be produced by the brand when it releases the device.
