While avid gamers continue waiting with bated breath for Naughty Dog to shed more light on its long-rumored sequel to its 2013's hit survival horror video game, "The Last of Us," the game developer seem to have opted to keep details regarding the game under wraps.
"The Last Of Us 2" was unveiled in the form of a reveal trailer during last year's PlayStation Experience but since then, details about "TLoU 2" have been few and far between. In order to keep the hype surrounding the upcoming title alive, the game director seems to have given depressed fans of the long-awaited sequel, something to shout about within the trailer itself.
The awe-inspiring "The Last Of Us 2" reveal trailer hint at the return of Joel and Ellie. Fans were quick to notice that the Shawn James' song dubbed, "Through the Valley" that Ellie was crooning might have a buried message. The song is biblically inspired from Psalms 23. Now, converting those digits into a date format, this reads as April 23, which some optimistic gamers suggest could be the release date for "TLoU 2," The Wolf Hall reported.
But fans shouldn't get their hopes up yet. Some sources claim "TLoU 2" is highly unlikely to hit store shelves anytime before 2019, while other recently surfaced reports are indicating that the game will hit the store shelves in 2018. However, the game developer has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations, meaning, these shreds of information should be taken with a huge grain of salt.
Spilling the beans about the climax of "The Last of Us," Druckmann said that it was considerably influenced by his "personal politics." This could also be an indication that politics will play a vital role in the sequel too, making "TLoU 2" more interesting and adding more mystery to the upcoming game at the same time.
Druckmann also alluded this to a tweet from Naughty Dog's Drew Thaler, which comprised a message from Stan Lee about moralizing in Marvel's comics, DailyStar reported.
While it remains to be seen whether or not "The Last of Us 2" will center on personal politics or not, it is safe to say that if Naughty Dog manages to even replicate what they did with the original game, avid gamers will be quite happy.
