After being in the works for a really long time, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" finally went gold earlier this month. To further boost the hype surrounding the upcoming action-adventure video game, Nintendo released a new trailer dubbed, "Guard."
Aside from "Guard," a couple of other trailers entitled, "Run," and "Live" also made an appearance on the game publisher's official website. The "Guard" trailer (seen below) boasts an uncanny yet warm feel to it.
The most atypical aspect of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" trailer is the absence of a soundtrack. According to a report from WWG, this is because the "Guard" trailer for the upcoming title is embedded on the video game console maker's website, which plays a single track in the background while fans switch between three different trailers.
The lack of sound allows fans to delve into Link's world from a different frame of reference. While it's still unknown whether or not this was a part of Nintendo's marketing strategy, it definitely gives "The Legend of Zelda" fans a brief glimpse of what the game has in store for them.
Aside from that, what is likely to grab the attention of the fans is the fact that Zelda continues to remain the pivotal character in the story. She seems to gracefully justify the regal feel and more screen time she's been given. The trailer also gives a peek at how the Guardians are striking terror into the remnant of the city.
Meanwhile, a trailer from Japan showcasing the highly anticipated game being played on the Big N's upcoming console, Switch for about 14 seconds has surfaced online. Taking into consideration that the game's footage ideally comes from Wii U, this commercial is actually quite a pleasant change.
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is slated to hit the store shelves on March 3 as one of Nintendo Switch's launch titles. Moreover, the action-adventure video game is slated to debut on Wii U the same day. There's also hearsay that this will mark the end of the 3rd-party game for the lauded console.
