Still riding high on the success of "GTA 5 Online," Rockstar Games continues to keep details about the highly anticipated next installment in the hit action-adventure video game series under wraps.
The rumored sequel to "GTA 5" is expected to come bearing the "GTA 6" moniker and despite the lack of an official announcement, optimistic avid gamers have been hazarding all sorts of speculations around the game's release date and other details. The latest buzz suggests "GTA 6" will boast a slew of enhanced developments and locations.
'GTA 6' Release Date
As expected, the internet is rife with all sorts of speculations about "GTA 6's" release date. In line with this, a report from TechRadar claims avid gamers may not be able to get their hands on the new "GTA" title until 2020. While this is quite disappointing, it is highly likely that it may actually come to fruition, provided Rockstar Games' sticks to its release pattern.
The online mode for "GTA 5" was released back in Sept. 2013 and since then Rockstar Games has been rolling out updates on content for GTA 5's multiplayer component. Three years later, the game developer was rumored to be hard at works on "Red Dead Redemption 2." If Rockstar Games follows this release pattern, the next title is highly unlikely to arrive anytime before three years, meaning, "GTA 6" release date could be sometime in 2020.
Nevertheless, this is a mere speculation and there is also a possibility that "GTA 6" release date could be just around the corner. Amidst the lack of details about the title's release date, few insiders have been tipping off some important details about "GTA 6."
It's no secret that "GTA 5" is currently Rockstar Games' cash cow and this is hardly surprising since it is the fastest selling title in video game history, which garnered a whopping $1 in just the first 24 hours of release, Trusted Reviews reported.
Bearing that in mind, it is quite obvious that "GTA" fans have been waiting with bated breath for Rockstar Games to shed more light on "GTA 6's" release date, locations and other details. But much to their dismay, the studio seems in no mood to answer their prayers at the moment.
'GTA 6' New Location
If rumors doing rounds online are anything to go by, "GTA 6" would not just center on one specific city, but will encompass the entire US. This could also be one of the reasons why the game might take a long time to hit the store shelves. However, Rockstar Games has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations.
Moreover, citing the hype surrounding "GTA 6," it is expected to even surpass the huge success acquired by "GTA 5" when it releases. Stay tuned in here for more "GTA 6" updates!
