Sony is on a roll this year, and the company has recently released new content for the PlayStation 4 Pro. The upcoming PS4 update will also include a "boost mode" for the PS4 Pro.

According to This Gen Gaming, the "Boost Mode" feature of upcoming update 4.50 will improve "the frame-rate performance of games that do not support" the PS4 Pro. Lucky gamers who are part of the beta testing for update 4.50 have kindly shared gaming footage on their PS4 Pros, and the videos are "nothing short of amazing."

Some games were only slightly improved by the feature, but This Gen Gaming has compiled a list of top 5 games that were drastically improved when played in Boost Mode. Fifth on the list is "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," 2015's Game of The Year. Boost mode "has tremendous effects on the gameplay" for the title, and the game is definitely "smoother' while immersive combat is "even more glorious." Thanks to boost mode, frame-rate issues seen "while battling drowners in the swamp and killing enemies in Novigrad" were virtually non-existent in "The Witcher 3."

Fourth is "Assassin's Creed Unity," which sadly suffered frame-rate issues because of the game's "large crowded areas." With Boost Mode, the game can now run at a "very stable 39FPS." It is now possible to "run across roof tops and in-between crowds" as you approach your next target "without any frame-rate issues."

The third game in the list is "The Evil Within," and with Boost Mode, one of the main issues with the game has been resolved. With the PS4 Pro's boost mode, the "clunky frame-rate is not entirely fixed, but it is greatly improved."

"Just Cause 3" is the fourth game that was improved thanks to Boost Mode. On the PS4 Pro and with boost mode, "Just Cause 3" plays like an "entirely new game." The title has been rendered "almost unplayable" when it was launched because of "various frame-rate issues."

"Battlefield 4" is the top game that has been vastly improved thanks to Boost Mode. While "Battlefield 4" looks like the same game, playing it on the PS4 Pro with boost mode is "completely different." Online gameplay is now much smoother, faster, and is stable at 60 FPS, which is "how multiplayer shooters are meant to be played."

Another game that ran better on Boost Mode was "Bloodborne," per Polygon. While Boost Mode improves "Bloodborne" in several ways, it sadly "won't address the game's frame-pacing problems." However, the comparison video presents a great difference in "the Lecture Hall, especially at the end of the segments."
