It has been only three months since Nintendo launched the Nintendo NES Classic Mini console and the company has already managed to sell 1.5 million units across the globe. Every time the stock is replenished, it runs out in no time. The demand for the console is still going high as it was at the time of its release before Christmas 2016.

Retailers Stopped Advertising The Console Availability

Retailers have even stopped advertising about the arrival of the product's NES Classic Mini stock, as they are not able to meet the whooping demand. Even if there are some signs of the console getting restocked in the UK, the limited quantities make it tough to find the console, as reported by Dailystar.

For instance, Smyths Toys had stock of the console in many of its stores earlier this week. It is the same with other retailers like Argos and Amazon as well. However, they made sure that the console would be sold only to those who come directly to the store or opt for the "order online and pick up from store" facility.

It Will Take Longer To Mass Produce The Mini Console

The President of Nintendo, Tatsumi Kimishima said that as it takes time to procure some of the components for the NES classic Mini edition, mass production of higher quantities is getting more difficult. He apologized for the product shortage. He also said that the increasing popularity of Nintendo NES classic Mini provides the company with an opportunity to attract more customers towards its upcoming hybrid console, the Nintendo Switch, as reported by The Sun.

The Nintendo NES Mini Classic Specs

It looks like the fans have to wait longer than expected for the £49.99 Mini retro console. The NES Classic Mini comes with inbuilt 30 retro games such as the Super Mario Bros., and the Legend of Zelda. The console can be connected to TV through HDMI port and also the Wii Remote and NES Classic Controllers.
