LG's new smartwatches -- a collaboration with Google -- will come in two variants. The Sport model will be bigger than the Style and is expected to come with cellular connectivity. It will also be more expensive and will have an IP68 certification, unlike the Watch Style's IP67 rating.

Android Wear 2.0 is now pegged to be announced on February 8. Originally, Google and LG's Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches were slated to be introduced February 9. However, according to famed leaker Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, Watch Sport and Watch Style smartwatches will now be announced a day before, reports Fone Arena.

LG Watch Sport

LG Watch Sport will reportedly sport a 1.38-inch display with a resolution of 480×480 and be 14.2mm thin. It will feature IP68 certification, 768MB, 4GB of storage, a 430mAh battery, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, 3G and LTE connectivity. The device will also come fitted out with GPS, NFC, a heart-rate monitor and Android Pay. It will be available in dark blue variants and titanium. The LG Watch Sport is said to be priced at $349.

LG Watch Style

Meanwhile, the LG Watch Style is tipped to have a 1.2-inch display and a resolution of 360×360. It will be 10.8mm thin.

Other features include a 512MB RAM, 4GB of storage space, 2400mAh battery, IP67 water and dust resistance and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It will be available in silver, titanium and rose gold variants. The LG Watch Style is also said to come with interchangeable band support. The LG Watch Style's expected price is $249.

According to The Indian Express, both of these watches will have a physical button that is said to work as a digital crown for navigating the interface. These Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches are expected to work with iOS and Android and feature Google Assistant built-in.

The Android Wear 2.0 update, however, is going to move smartwatches away from being dependent on smartphones. This means standalone apps, with the addition of its own Google Play Store, support to do more over Wi-Fi and cellular radios, a thorough reform of its user interface and much more are coming.
