Square Enix will still pursue a "Final Fantasy XV" PC release. "FFXV" director Hajime Tabata in an interview with Weekly Famitsu revealed that he'd like to release the popular PS4 and Xbox One game to PC.

Speaking with Weekly Famitsu, "FF15" game director Hajime Tabata discussed the future of the popular RPG and addressed the request that "Final Fantasy XV" PC version be released. The last "FF" title to be released for the PC is "Final Fantasy X-2", which was ported for the PC in May 12, 2016. This took a year after it was released for the PS4 and 14 years since it was initially released for the PlayStation 2.

Tabata revealed that he'd like to release "Final Fantasy 15" on PC as a technical attempt. The video game director also said that he would like to show PC users "FFXV" running on high end machines. Tabata even admitted that their team would like to see it too.

According to Windows report, Tabata said that the "FF15" PC version will have various extra features if decisive moves are made. The "FFXV" director even emphasized on "Final Fantasy XV" mods support.

Tabata said that he would like to develop on PC a unique way of playing the popular RPG. This includes having exclusive "Final Fantasy XV" PC features. These added features is said to allow players to create their own quests and to enjoy the world with the use of things like mods.

The "FF15" director also discussed about remaking playable areas in the RPG's future expansion. However, since the process will take a year, such is not currently in their plans. He also said that Insomnia will certainly be a candidate if ever they prepare new fields.

Square Enix is yet to give an official announcement about the details and possible "Final Fantasy XV" PC release date. Several DLCs and updates are scheduled to be released for the hit RPG including a new story DLC featuring Galdiolus.
