Publisher EA has confirmed "FIFA 18." The latest iteration will bring with it the story-driven mode The Journey on its second Season.

During an investor's call held on February 1, EA confirmed The Journey would make a comeback in "FIFA 18" with new characters and new storylines. According to Seeking Alpha, EA's CEO Andrew Wilson and its CFO Blake Jorgensen commended "FIFA 17's" success since it was released September 2016. The executives stated that it was the top-selling console game and is on course to become the EA's best-selling FIFA title of all time.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson was quoted saying that "FIFA 18" will be founded with story mode this year. He further said that they are bringing players back to The Journey with Season 2. In addition, EA's development team in Vancouver is providing deeply innovative new experiences through the new game, including an Ultimate Team. EA is creating the most emotionally immersive, and connected FIFA they have ever produced, he concluded.

In addition, Wilson reported that "FIFA 17" The Journey has been played by more than 10 million fans. He said that the Ultimate Team players are approximately 10 percent year above every year. These are just some of the interesting statistics that EA must have considered before bringing "FIFA 18" to fans.

"FIFA 17" The Journey is a story-driven adventure mode that sees you follow a young footballer named Alex Hunter. It includes dedicated characters, cutscenes and appearances from real-life players and managers. The publisher has not revealed more details about "FIFA 18" The Journey Season 2 just yet, but fans are anticipating another engaging story mode to be laid before them.

Meanwhile, during the earnings call, EA confirmed that it is not making "Skate 4" right now. The company revealed, however, that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will have a single-player campaign and content from multiple eras, says Gamespot.
